Where to print photos Guide

NOTE: I do NOT receive any compensation for any of these recommendations. These recommendations are entirely my own based off my own experiences and testing.

These are my recommendations for where to get physical prints of the photo work you have purchased in order that I consider them when I get prints.

1) ProDPI - https://www.prodpi.com/ - They are my first pick they have a good number of options and everything they print looks exactly as amazing as I expect it to be! You do have to wait on the printings to be mailed to you but you get will be glorious and is worth the wait. They do seem to be pretty efficient with their printing speeds. The longest I have had to wait so far is 2 weeks, but on average it takes about a week.

2) Nations Photo Lab - https://www.nationsphotolab.com/ - They are my second pick and I usually go to them for options that are not offered at ProDPI. Their prints look really good.

3) Walgreens in Odenton Maryland - Only if I need things turned around fast. I’ve been to several printing places all over Maryland and this particular Walgreens consistently turns out good enough work every single time. They do tend to get slower the closer we get to Christmas though. Just make sure you record those coupon codes on their main photo printing page and apply it during check out.

The address is:

8374 PINEY ORCHARD PKWY
Odenton, MD 21113

The one place I recommend avoiding getting any work printed at.

Walmart - Their machines are just too heavy on the darker colors. If you don’t believe me, get a print from there and then that same print from pretty much anywhere else and you will see it clear as day. And once you see it, you will notice it every single time you come across it. The money you may be saving isn’t worth the ugly prints you will be receiving.

Glossy vs Matte

Granted, your personal tastes come first but….

Glossy for cards, prints that will be appear in areas of your house that will be in darker locations, and maybe for nature photos. Matte for everything else, especially areas with better lighting.

Glossy will catch the eye immediately and better in lower light but matte tends to make the photos look more authentic and more complete.
