A photography session crasher.

Joshua Hubbell January 19, 2021

We had a visitor in our studio. You’ll also notice the white background again, more on that later this week. Anyway, she came in grumpy but I was armed with the fact that she is stubborn; I told her that it was good she was grumpy because she was in a no fun zone and there is absolutely no laughing whatsoever. Needless to say, she had to make her stand against such insanity, and we were able to catch a few shoots.

Anyway, take a look at her face in a few of those photos. This is a good opportunity to warn other photographers about color splash back. Your subject can wear that neon orange shirt they love, but you want to warn them that there is a good chance the light, be it natural or artificial, will splash that color back on to their face. So just keep that in mind when advising people how to dress. That also is why most photographers try to get their clients to wear toned down colors.
